AGGIES CAN'T HOLD ON

Bloomington MN - Despite building a 26 - 8 lead, the Aggies could not hold on for a victory Friday night versus the Lancers of Concordia Academy Bloomington. The Aggies jumped out early thanks to some nifty running by Philip Butler and a 60 yard fumble recovery for a score by Freshman Defensive Lineman Cidney Ellis. The Lancers responded with a strong drive of their own and got on the board with a short run and 2 point conversion. St. Agnes extended their lead with a beautiful catch and run by Leevon Perry that covered over 70 yards. But the Aggies could not hold on as the Lancers turned 5 St. Agnes turnovers into points and ultimately finished out the game winning by a score of 30- 26.

St. Agnes takes the field again Friday night on the road to take on New Life Academy.

It was what it was billed homecoming 2008 for the Lancers and they came up with a big victory and their first victory.

Bloomington, MN ---- It was billed homecoming for the Lancers and they did just about everything they wanted after trailing the Aggies 20-6 at halftime. But the third and fourth quarter belonged to the Lancers as they put key drives together and came out with a big victory winning the game. 30-26 was the final score.
