WILDCATS SPOIL HOMECOMING AT MIDWAY 49 - 20
AS MARIO ARROYA SCORES THREE TOUCHDOWNS FOR THE VICTORY.

SAINT PAUL - WELL IT WAS HOMECOMING FOR THE AGGIES BUT THE WILDCATS HAD OTHER PLANS TO SPOIL THE AGGIES HOMECOMMING. THE OPENING KICKOFF WAS PICKED UP BY JACK HERTAUS AND RAN 85 YARDS TO START THE GAME AND FROM THERE ON IT WAS THE WILDCATS IN THE DRIVERS SEAT WITH THE HELP OF THREE TD’S FROM MARIO ARROYO AND SPOILING THE HOMECOMING FOR THE AGGIES OF SAINT AGNES. THE BRIGHT SPOT OF THE GAME WAS DALTON STURDIVANT WITH 160 YARDS OF TOTAL OFFIENCE FOR THE AGGIES. THE AGGIES CLOSE THEIR SEASON WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 15 AT HOME MIDWAY GAME TIME 7 : 00 P.M.
Aggies Outlasted in Homecoming Match Up

Friday night marked 2008 Homecoming for the Aggies and matched the hometown squad against the Wildcats of LeCenter. It was a tough, physical game that saw the Wildcats outlast the Aggies and depart with a 48-20 victory. The Wildcats struck first by returning the opening kickoff for a score. The Aggies responded a series later with a dash to the endzone by Butler to close within 1. It was a back and forth half in which both teams claimed and lost momentum. The Aggies final score of the half was a tremendous catch and run by senior receiver Dalton Sturdivant who finished the night with 7 catches for 165 yards. The second half saw the Wildcats slowly pull away due to their depth and senior ladden offensive and defensive lines. The Aggies fought valiantly, puntuated by a 85 yard kick return for a score by Butler, but the offense could not reach the endzone in the scecond half. The Aggies take the field for their final regular season contest Wednesday night at 7 pm against West Lutheran. |
