AGGIES CRUSH LESTER PRAIRIE 27-6
The Aggies rolled in to Lester Prairie Friday night looking to avenge last years 44-8 drubbing at Midway Stadium and got just what they wished for in a 27-6 win over Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity on a rainy night.
After a scoreless first quarter the Aggies got on the board first when AJ Johnson connected with Akayla Porter on an 11 yd pass. The kick failed.
Saint Agnes had a huge goal line stand to keep Lester Prairie from scoring as time ran out to end the first half with the Aggies holding a 6-0 lead.
Lester Prairie scored early in the third quarter and then the Saint Agnes offense and defense took over. Johnson connected on TD passes to Josh Gutzmann and Matt Fossand. Porter added a 41 yard TD run to seal the 27-6 victory for the Aggies.
Fossand had two interceptions while Ryan Hernandez and Ryan Gutzmann each had one interception.
Saint Agnes improves to 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the MCAA Conference. The Aggies travel to Plymouth next Friday for a Conference game against Providence Academy 2-0 overall, 1-0 in the MCAA.
