Saint Bernard s lost a thrilling overtime game 27-21 to Adrian in the quarterfinals of the State high school football tournament Saturday afternoon at Gustavus Aldolphus College in Saint Peter. This was the first ever appearance for the Bulldogs in the state football tournament and although the outcome wasn t favorable the Bulldogs provided their fans a memorable game that came down to the last possession. With the score tied at 21 at the end of regulation Adrian scored first in overtime but the Bulldogs defense came up big when they blocked the extra point kick by Adrian. Saint Bernard s failed to score on their overtime possession sending Adrian to the semifinal game against undefeated Fosston,
MN next Friday in the Metrodome. Saint Bernard s finishes the year 7-4.
